Christopher Peter Meloni was an American actor best famous for his role on the well-known television series Law & Order Special Victims Unit'. His interest in acting began during his college years. He studied acting at University of Colorado at Boulder. The characters he has played on television have earned him plenty of recognition. There is no doubt that his characters have been able to capture the attention of viewers by playing characters who are on either one side of the law. He portrayed the role of a serial murderer in his debut television show and then went on to take on the role that of a NYPD detective. The actor has been nominated several times for prestigious Emmy Awards and the PRISM Awards for his small screen appearances. The piercingly blue eyes of his face are considered to be the most appealing aspect of his appearance. The eyes have been employed to portray rough characters as well as give them a sense of humour. People's magazine listed him as one of the Sexiest Men Alive for 2006.
